Tracy & Milo’s Intentions for 2023

Now, I am not a big New Years Resolution type of gal…well because let’s be honest… by mid- January my wild schedule and the chaos of growing a business has usually already impeded on my goals of “working out every day,” “not working past 7pm,” or “a little less red wine on the week days.”

However, I truly believe in setting intentions for the type of person I want to be and for how I want my business to grow in the upcoming year. What’s the difference you ask?  An intention is what you want to manifest, how you want to live, or what you want to accomplish versus the hard and fast goal of a resolution, which is often broken.

So in an effort to continue to lead with authenticity and accountability, here are just a few of own intentions for 2023 in order to make this the best year yet. And well, because my life and business are fairly intertwined, so are my personal and professional intentions.   Keep reading for Milo’s 2023 intentions as well 😊

Intention 1: Authenticity

I’ve grown tired of seeing business leaders or professionals act completely different in the public eye than they do privately..and historically, that was to be expected.  However, to create a brighter future, I believe its important to show the world that leaders are in fact human and not robots (yet!). In order to do that, I belive there needs to be consistency in how you carry yourself in the office and out.  So Intention 1 is to continue to grow and stand true to my authentic self in the office, on a stage, on a conference floor, in front of my family, and in my relationships. I believe that the more authentic you are,  the more success that will follow.  When you are authentic, you are more easily in a state of calmness and joy, and when you are in a state of calmness and joy, you more easily attract the right people and opportunities in your life.

Intention 2: Reinvent, not replicate.

I like to think of myself as a little bit of a trailblazer. Now, this hasn’t been the easiest path to take because creating new ways of doing things often pushes people (and sometimes myself!) out of comfort zones, which (surprise) is often resisted. I have more often than not been told no, that I don’t know what I am talking about, or that I am simply just not doing it right…But that hasn’t stopped me..and it especially won’t in 2023. There are few things I am more passionate about than reinventing processes, leadership, and running businesses. I believe replicating someone elses success is a quick way to failure. You may see quick wins here and there, but true success is driven by passion, authenticity, and working in a way that suits you.

Intention 3: Never losing my shine

It’s no surprise that owning a business while trying to maintain a healthy personal life can sometimes be conflicting to each other. It’s no surprise that I am more often than not a llllllitttttle bit stressed and usually thinking 25 steps ahead so that our company is rock solid for years to come, but that is no excuse to let the worries of the word and the stress of situations around me to cause me to lose my shine. I fully intend to keep laughing, smiling, and staying as bright and positive as I authentically can during the good and bad days. I fully intend to not allow negative energy or others take away my shine because when I am bright and joyful, I can bring joy to others. And my overall goal is to be a light for others, not add to darkness.

Intention 4: Continuous Growth

Professionally: TRAX is on its way to take over the world and 2023 is yet another year planned of high-growth. As we continue to see growth well above 50% year after year, I cannot wait to see the success that will come in 2023 as we continue to our grow clients, teams, and solutions.  I look forward to the growth in our solutions, processes, communication skills, and how we support each other. I believe in the importance of never being complacent, both personally and professionally. Therefore, I want to continue to work on who I am at my core so I can show up stronger and happier for myself and others. I want to grow my skill set, my knowledge, and my leadership.

Hopefully, this brings just a hint of inspiration to think through what you too want to accomplish and who you want to show up as in 2023. I personally cannot wait to see how this year unfolds.

BONUS:  Milo’s intentions for 2023

Intention 1: Finding a healthy balance between requiring mom to play with me non-stop, and quiet time to reflect on how I can be a nicer doggie. Mom really really really needs more calm Milo and less of me being wild Milo with a bad attitude. I will work on it…maybe.

Intention 2: Remembering that sleeping in mom’s bed is a privilege and not a right. I should probably stop kicking her out of her king size bed and stealing all of her pillows so we both can have a good night sleep. I will think through this though….because I am a king after all.

Intention 3: Even though mom taught me how to shake and its adorable, its important to stop slapping her with my paws when she isn’t paying attention to me. Paws are for shaking, not slapping.   But really… if she’d do what I wanted, I wouldn’t resort to violence… so delete this one after all.

Happy 2023 to all the other wild animals out there and to their tired parents.

Let’s make this year the best one yet.
