A Tidbit about Tracy…

In the age old battle of marketing team versus executive leadership…marketing won :) Our incredible team at TRAX Analytics has been on my case to get my voice out there more because they believe that sharing my experiences in family business, experiences as a woman in tech, experiences as a young..(ish…) leader could help others… now I don’t know if thats true (or if they had just started their happy hour a little earlier), but I do know I was tired of fighting the battle…so here we are :) I can only hope that sharing my experiences here will in fact help… or at the very least will give you something fun to read and some fun pictures of our mascot Milo to look at while you are working from home.

To kick this new chapter off- we thought it would be good to share a few things about me so you know who the heck I am as we start to ultimately dig in deeper… So enjoy..

1) I used to work with monkeys. Yes, monkeys. I helped manage behavioral research labs at Emory University post grad that studied the social behavior of baby monkeys—so thats where I really dipped my toe into data collection, data analysis, and learned how to work with difficult clients (joking!…kind of).

2) I was born and raised with a family business. Yes, although we swore to not discuss PnLs at Thanksgiving, they inevitably came up. Family business is a blessing, but also a challenge and it really made we who I am today.

3) Milo is the TRAX Analytics boston terrier mascot. He will make lots of appearances here as he is what keeps me mentally sane (or insane on some days) when business gets tough and momma just needs to take a walk with her pup (happens often).

4) Aviation is in my blood and I can’t seem to kick the habit. My grandfather started our first aviation software company, worked on the Apollo project, and was a pilot. My father carried it on by growing the aviation business and somehow put the love of it into my drinking water as a kid. Now here were are. I have been going to conferences since I was a kid and the industry is a part of my extended family.

5) I have huge aspirations. I am very passionate. I am very much a free spirit (to sometimes my downfall). And even though I dream very, very big, this journey we are taking with TRAX is something I could have never even imagined. From a wacky idea, to our first win, to starting the company, to creating a team, to growing it more (and winning our first NBA client!), and now moving global… I still have to be pinched sometimes. And I truly look forward to sharing the experience with all of you.

So quick and painless right? Thank you for your support of me and of TRAX. I wouldn’t be here without our team, without everyone’s support, and without the excitement we all share to make every venue a TRAX managed venue. Hopefully, you stick around to watch the journey.
